Stats - Fils is the youngest player to reach the quarterfinals of the year's first three Masters 1000 tournaments
Arthur Fils delivered a dominant performance against Andrey Rublev this Thursday in Monte-Carlo, winning 6-2, 6-3.
This victory secures him a spot in the quarterfinals, a stage of the competition he is becoming familiar with after already reaching it at Indian Wells and Miami.
With this achievement, the Frenchman becomes the youngest player to reach the quarterfinals of the year's first three Masters 1000 tournaments (Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte-Carlo) since the introduction of this format in 1990.
Having been eliminated at this stage twice during the Sunshine Double, Fils will now aim to go even further in Monte-Carlo, facing either Daniel Altmaier or Carlos Alcaraz.
