The information may seem anecdotal, but this statistic reflects the current tennis power of the new generations. This 2024 edition of Roland Garros is the first since 2008 in which none of the semi-finalists is over 28 years of age.
In 2008, the protagonists were Rafael Nadal (22, born 1986), Roger Federer (26, 1981), Novak Djokovic (21, 1987) and Gaël Monfils (21, 1986).
In 2024, they are Carlos Alcaraz (21, born 2003), Jannik Sinner (22, 2001), Casper Ruud (25, 1998) and Alexander Zverev (27, 1997).
