Elena Rybakina will contest the quarter-finals of the 2024 French Open. The Kazakh has just dominated Elena Svitolina to qualify in just over an hour and two sets (6-4, 6-3) on Court Philippe Chatrier. Just over an hour, which is how long each of her matches has lasted since the start of the tournament.
The Ukrainian was supposed to be the first big test for the world number 3, but in the end she couldn't even slow her down. Madame Monfils was no match for her on Monday morning.
It's another Elina, Russia's Elina Avanesyan or Italy's Jasmine Paolini, currently pitted against each other on Court Suzanne Lenglen, who will try to get Rybakina out of her rhythm on Wednesday.
