The Alcaraz-Sinner duel already joins a prestigious list in ATP Tour history
This Sunday, June 8, marks the men's final at Roland-Garros. Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, the world's top two players, will battle for the title on the Parisian clay.
The leading figures of the new generation have already taken charge, proving week after week that they will be the ones to watch in the coming months and years.
This will be their 12th meeting (the Spaniard currently leads 7-4) and their first in a Grand Slam final.
Though still at the start of a rivalry likely to go down in tennis history, Sinner and Alcaraz have already entered an exclusive club of duos who have faced each other at least once in an ATP 250, ATP 500, Masters 1000, and now a Grand Slam final.
Before them, only five pairs had achieved this: Agassi-Sampras, Djokovic-Nadal, Federer-Murray, Djokovic-Wawrinka, and Djokovic-Tsonga. Sinner and Alcaraz previously clashed in the 2022 Umag final (ATP 250), the 2024 Beijing final (ATP 500), the 2025 Rome final (Masters 1000), and now at Roland-Garros just weeks later.
