The gap between Sinner, Alcaraz and the others is quite significant, analyzes Wilander

Mats Wilander commented on the current supremacy of Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who have shared the last 7 Grand Slams between them.

According to him, the other players are not at their level. In remarks reported by L’Équipe, he stated: "Today, the gap between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz on one side and all the others is quite significant.

What is very interesting about these two is that they play differently: they play faster, they take the ball earlier, and when it rises, especially Jannik. They move faster and move better than all the others.

The big question for me is whether players with a more 'old school' style like Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, or Holger Rune need to evolve their game to try to keep up with their pace. For now, they are not succeeding.
