Felix Auger-Aliassime has been in form since this summer. The Canadian has climbed from 28th in the world to 8th. Defeated this Sunday by Jannik Sinner in the final of the Rolex Paris Masters, he compared his level to that of the Italian.

He states: "For me, the gap between us is not enormous. I'm getting closer to him with each match. This one was very tight. At the US Open, I managed to win a set, but I lost the first and fourth in a difficult match.

Today, we saw that the match was very contested. His serve and return were impressive, of exceptional quality; I tip my hat to him. I feel that there were moments when I could have played better; some parts of the match remain painful.

Despite top-10 ATP rankings and consistent excellence, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gaël Monfils, Richard Gasquet, and Gilles Simon never claimed a Grand Slam title, enduring mockery from French media amid Big 3 dominance. A deep dive into a talented generation defined by sky-high expectations and brutal competition.

As much as I love watching Alcaraz at his best, I'd love to see Alex taking this, he's such a tryer, and getting married and his humour and humility...

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...
