Australian Open: Djokovic vs Alcaraz in Tuesday's quarter-finals
The quarter-finals of the Australian Open get underway on Tuesday, with both men's and women's matches scheduled on Rod Laver Arena.
Coco Gauff and Paula Badosa will open the day's session (from 11:30 a.m. local time, 1:30 a.m. in France) in what will be their seventh meeting on the circuit (3 wins each).
This encounter will then be followed by the first men's quarter-final between Alexander Zverev, world no. 2, and Tommy Paul, world no. 11.
The American leads 2-0 in their meetings (victories in Acapulco and Indian Wells), but the two men haven't played each other since 2022.
In the night session (from 7pm local time, 9am in France), world n°1 Aryna Sabalenka will take on Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
Sabalenka, who has not lost a set in the tournament, is on an 18-match winning streak in Melbourne since 2023.
Finally, the day will conclude with the clash between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.
The two players, who have been little troubled so far in this tournament, will face each other for the first time since their memorable match at the Paris Olympics.
