The rivalry between Alcaraz and Sinner will push us forward," says Draper
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Queen's tournament, Jack Draper shared his thoughts on the rivalry between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
The Briton views this rivalry positively, both for tennis and for other players: "Our sport is going through a golden period, especially in terms of overall level and depth of talent.
I’d say the current Top 100 is the strongest it’s ever been. Every player is performing at an extremely high level. It’s true that five or ten years ago, the Top 20 might have been more competitive than today, but I feel the rivalry between Alcaraz and Sinner will push us forward.
The attention they’ve drawn from their match in Paris will be very positive for tennis, and their impressive level will challenge us.
