The WTA tournament at Queen's concluded this Sunday, making way for the men's players. While the tournament awards the same number of points to the winner (500), the financial aspect is entirely different.

For her final victory, Tatjana Maria pocketed only about €141,000, while the men's Queen's champion will take home €471,755.

The runner-up, Amanda Anisimova, earned around €87,000, whereas the men's finalist will receive €253,790.

As for first-round losers, the amount stands at approximately €9,500 for women compared to €19,670 for men.

Why? Why such a distinction in prize money when all matches are the best of three sets and all monies are set before the withdrawal of big names. Classic sexism.

Bravo Tatjana! weiter so.

Queens isn't run as combined event like all the grand slams, where men and women share court time in the same competition. For Queens they are completely separate events, so the sponsorship contracts will be drawn up separately. I would guess the ticket prices would be drawn up separately, based on the demand for tickets.
Each separate competition can therefore only payout prize money based on the income they are separately generating.

It will really be befitting if he attains his 25th Grand Slam crown at the AO for he's truly the GOAT & this will stamp him & endorse his GOAT status without an iota of doubt

Almost as important to Djokovic as Slam #25--and requiring less luck--is beating Federer's total of 103 singles titles. He'll play 250s, and might even surpass Connors's 109.
