The Williams Sisters Attend the Met Gala in New York
On the occasion of the Met Gala, the Williams sisters graced the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York this Monday, May 5th.
This annual ceremony aims to raise funds for the Anna Wintour Costume Center. The stars were instructed to dress in "superfine: tailoring black style" for this new edition—a tribute to bespoke Black dandyism and the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s-1930s.
The two champions, who boast a combined 30 Grand Slam titles, were thus present at one of the largest art museums in the United States.
On the sporting front, while Serena retired from professional tennis in 2022, her sister has yet to make any announcements. Initially expected to compete at the Indian Wells tournament, Venus Williams will instead take on the role of consultant for TNT Sports during Roland-Garros.
