In an interview with Clay Tennis, Alexander Bublik discussed the Laver Cup, an exhibition event he has never participated in. According to him, he has never been called up due to his nationality.

He explains: "I have never played the Laver Cup. I think you have to be American or South American for that.

I believe the captains always choose English speakers. They think the world is limited to America and the English language.
