A lack of attitude and commitment," US Open doubles partner slams Bublik

In an interview with Clay Tenis, Alexander Bublik criticized the doubles event, even saying that his Roland-Garros trophy was useless and that it was similar to a padel title.
These remarks did not sit well with his US Open doubles partner, Marcelo Demoliner. The Brazilian regrets his partnership with the Kazakh, where they were eliminated in the first round.
He states: "A doubles player's life involves this great challenge: finding a partner. Sometimes, because of the rankings, we have to team up with a singles player, and it's a double-edged sword.
Today, the result really hurts. Not even because of the loss itself, but because of the feeling of a lack of attitude and commitment. Unfortunately, it wasn't the way I believe is right, the way I always try to play.
Sometimes, playing with a singles player can be great, no doubt, but other times, it's tough. It's my career on the line, and there's a lack of empathy, and today is one of those days I'd like to forget.
If I had known it would be like this, I might not have even stepped onto the court. But that's part of life. One more lesson.
