Considered one of the dark horses at this year's Wimbledon due to his recent resurgence and title win in Halle, Alexander Bublik fell in the first round to Jaume Munar in a five-set thriller.

The Spaniard, who had cleared the first round in the previous three editions, secured his fourth career victory at Wimbledon—and against an opponent far more comfortable on grass than himself.

During the fifth set, the Kazakh, seeded No. 29, sarcastically remarked on Munar's level of play while addressing his team:

"This guy has won three matches on grass and moves like Djokovic. (smirk)
