Tien's Compliments for Moutet: "He Makes Points So Difficult to Win"

After a tough battle in the second round in Shanghai, Learner Tien had words of praise for his opponent Corentin Moutet.
This Saturday, Learner Tien delivered a strong performance to defeat Corentin Moutet in the second round of the Shanghai Masters 1000. The American, who was trailing 6-4, 3-0 with a double break by the Frenchman, found the resources to turn the situation around (4-6, 6-4, 6-4).
The world No. 36, who just played the final in Beijing and had already come back to defeat Miomir Kecmanovic in the first round in Shanghai, will now face Cameron Norrie for a spot in the round of 16. After his match, the 19-year-old left-hander paid tribute to Moutet, whom he faced for the third time this season.
"He's an excellent player. He's really crafty. I don't think he gets enough credit for his qualities as a tennis player. He's incredibly talented, he makes points so difficult to win. I knew it would be a tough match. He beat me in straight sets on grass (in Mallorca).
Every time we've faced each other, it's been very hot and the conditions were very difficult. So I'm very happy to have managed to come out on top," Tien concluded after his victory against the Frenchman in recent hours.
