Time passes for everyone: Cédric Pioline discusses Djokovic's withdrawal from the Rolex Paris Masters

For the second year in a row, Novak Djokovic has decided to skip the Rolex Paris Masters.

The Serbian, physically diminished since Shanghai, preferred to give himself some rest time before playing in Athens in early November.

An absence to which Cédric Pioline, director of the Parisian Masters 1000, responded yesterday. He holds out hope of seeing the seven-time winner of the event back on the court:

"I hope we will see him again. He is a great champion and he holds the record for titles here in Paris. I hope we will have the chance to see him again.

It's true that time passes for everyone. For him, 38 years old, that's old... He said it himself in recent days, that his body felt 15 years older.

He plays very little, he has played about a dozen tournaments this year... He is very effective, he reached the semi-finals of all four Grand Slams, the semi-finals in Shanghai. But we saw that it was difficult. Moreover, the humidity there was terrible.
