Stan The Man: Djokovic's Strong Message in Response to Wawrinka's Remarks

Following an emotional message from Wawrinka to his fans, Novak Djokovic reacted with a tribute as brief as it was symbolic. A mark of respect between two champions who have defined the last decade with their clashes.

Novak Djokovic continues to demonstrate his respect and admiration for his tour rivals, with Stan Wawrinka being a prime example. The latter, at 40 years old, passed the first round in Basel at the start of the week, before losing in his next match against Casper Ruud.

A successful run already for the Swiss veteran, who took the opportunity to post a long message on his social media on Saturday to thank his fans.

This post was noticed by Djokovic. The Serb shared it in his Instagram story with these few words: "Stan The Man".

At their best, the two men gave us memorable duels, whether at the Australian Open in 2013 and 2014, in the final at Roland-Garros in 2015, or at the US Open in 2016.
