Italian prodigy Jannik Sinner has just entered a very exclusive club: that of players who have surpassed the $50 million mark in career earnings.

By winning the ATP 500 in Vienna this weekend, the Italian added a trophy to his record, but also a new check to his bank account. The 24-year-old world number two is now the seventh player in history to exceed $50 million in tournament earnings. A figure that, until now, was reserved for other legends of the game like Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer.

Having been a professional since 2018, Sinner took only seven seasons to reach this symbolic milestone. A fact explained by the considerable increase in prize money over the last 20+ years.

Specifically, Sinner has $50,460,897 in cumulative earnings, a total that places him just behind Carlos Alcaraz ($53.9M) and Alexander Zverev ($55.6M), two rivals with whom he shares the world's biggest tennis stages.

Ahead of him, Novak Djokovic takes the throne with $190.5 million, followed by Rafael Nadal ($134.9M), Roger Federer ($130.6M), and Andy Murray ($64.6M).

As a reminder, tournaments today offer unprecedented financial rewards. The US Open, for example, awarded the largest purse in tennis history to its 2025 winners ($5 million).

So, there is no doubt that at this rate, the figures are likely to soar as fast as his forehands.

Top 10 Career Earnings (ATP, October 2025)

1 - Novak Djokovic: $190,526,213
2 - Rafael Nadal: $134,946,100
3 - Roger Federer: $130,594,339
4 - Andy Murray: $64,687,542
5 - Alexander Zverev: $55,662,085
6 - Carlos Alcaraz: $53,902,993
7 - Jannik Sinner: $50,460,897
8 - Daniil Medvedev: $48,013,381
9 - Pete Sampras: $43,280,489
10 - Stan Wawrinka: $37,772,917

This isn’t adjusted for inflation. Prize money has significantly increased over the last ten years, as it did with the big 3 from the prior generation.

Since February 2022 and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Ukrainian sport has been heavily affected by human, structural and economic losses. Tennis has, of course, not been spared. While Ukrainian athletes have had to rethink their entire organization, an entire country, behind the scenes, has had to adapt and change its training conditions. This extends all the way to the highest level, where professional players have spoken out, trying as best they can to help their nation.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
