In the final of the ATP 500 in Vienna, Alexander Zverev was defeated by Jannik Sinner after a two-and-a-half-hour battle (3-6, 6-3, 7-5). The German, who had a reassuring week, was full of praise for the world No. 2 during his speech:
"I would like to congratulate Jannik, whose level has been exceptional for the last two years. Currently, for me, you are the best player in the world.
What an incredible year (for you): two Grand Slam titles in four finals. This week in Vienna, you were simply the best player.
