To prepare for the Australian Open, Mpetshi Perricard will play the Auckland tournament
Set a week before the start of the Australian Open, the ATP 250 Auckland (January 6-11, 2025) has confirmed the participation of several Top 50 players, including Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
The Frenchman will be playing in the New Zealand tournament for the first time in his career, to prepare for the first Grand Slam of the season.
Gaël Monfils will also be taking part, having confirmed his participation in Auckland a few days earlier (see video below).
The Auckland ATP has seen two French players win titles in recent years: Ugo Humbert in 2020 and Richard Gasquet in 2023.
Two other players have also confirmed their presence at the event: Jakub Mensik, ranked 48th in the world, and Flavio Cobolli, ranked 32nd in the world.
