Tsitsipas, determined: "I want to give everything on the court"
Stefanos Tsitsipas has been in good form since his title in Dubai. After defeating Matteo Berrettini in Indian Wells, he attended a press conference.
He stated: "I want to give everything on the court. I approach these matches with a lot of determination.
I see many improvements in my mentality by fighting for every match as if it were a different chapter.
I want to step onto the court and be a gladiator. Today, I played a great match, but not perfect, as that almost never exists.
I haven't had good moments in recent months and I wasn't going in the right direction. I felt like my opponents were playing much better than me.
I am working very well with Dimitris Chatzinikolaou, as I have seen that my work ethic is better and I have a better approach to matches.
Now, we need to fine-tune things.
Before, I couldn't show the level I had during training sessions, but now with him, I feel more confident and there are no filters, I can communicate excellently, and he has a very open mind."
Tsitsipas will face Holger Rune for a spot in the quarterfinals.
