US Open ATP: Monfils Eliminated in 5 Sets, Paul and Zverev Make Successful Starts

Gaël Monfils made his debut on Tuesday night at the US Open against Roman Safiullin. Unfortunately for the Frenchman, he was eliminated with a score of 6-4, 2-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.

This is the first time he has lost in the first round of a Grand Slam since the Australian Open in 2025.

For the night session, Tommy Paul faced Elmer Moller. The American dispatched the Dane without much trouble, winning 6-3, 6-3, 6-1. He will face Nuno Borges in the next round.

As for Alexander Zverev, he took on Alejandro Tabilo. The German won without faltering, with a score of 6-2, 7-6, 6-4, marking his 112th Grand Slam victory in 150 matches.

He will face Jacob Fearnley in the second round.

I love tennis

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.
