US Open makes new mixed doubles rules official
The US Open has decided to completely overhaul the way the mixed doubles event operates.
It will now take place over just two days, during qualifying week.
Matches will be played on the Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong courts. There will be 16 teams, 8 of which will enter via their singles rankings and 8 via wild-cards.
The matches will be played to the best of three sets, with four-game sets and no advantage. The third set will be a 10-point super tie-break.
The final will be played in sets of six games.
