US Open: Rinderknech Gets Past Carballes Baena, Blanchet Secures First Grand Slam Win

The first day of competition at Flushing Meadows got off to a strong start for the French players.
Arthur Rinderknech, who recently reached the third round in Cincinnati, faced Roberto Carballes Baena in his opening match.
He had the final say from the baseline, winning 7-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 after nearly four hours of play. This victory will allow him to face another Spaniard in the second round, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
As for Ugo Blanchet, the American dream continues. Coming through the qualifiers, the world No. 184 secured his first Grand Slam win by defeating Fabian Marozsan, ranked 53rd in the ATP, with a score of 6-4, 3-6, 7-6, 6-2.
For his next match, he will face Jakub Mensik, the winner of the Miami Masters 1000.
