The US Open organizers have unveiled the schedule for the seventh day.

Last year's finalist, Gauff, will kick off the action on Arthur Ashe Stadium against Poland's Frech (starting at 5:30 PM French time), followed by the defending champion, Sinner. The world number one will face 27th seed Shapovalov in the third round.

Next, the recent Cincinnati champion, Swiatek, will take the court. Crowned here in 2022, she will be challenged by Russia's Kalinskaya (not before 1:00 AM French time). Finally, showman Bublik will close the day against American Tommy Paul.

On Louis Armstrong Stadium, spectators will first witness an all-Italian matchup between Musetti and Cobolli (starting at 5:00 PM French time). Osaka will follow against Kasatkina, then world number three Zverev will face the 2021 semifinalist, Auger-Aliassime (starting at 1:00 AM French time). Lastly, Brazil's Haddad Maia will wrap up the session against the world number 64, Sakkari.

On the other courts, Muchova will challenge her compatriot Noskova, and local favorite Anisimova will face Romania's Cristian (Grandstand). Meanwhile, De Minaur will need to confirm his seeding status (8) against Altmaier (Stadium 17). It's worth noting that the German is one of the players who has spent the most time on court following his marathons against Medjedovic and Tsitsipas (9 hours and 5 minutes).

On the French side, only Diane Parry is scheduled to play at Flushing Meadows, and she will have a tough task against the 27th seed, Kostyuk (starting at 6:30 PM on Court 5).

Omnipresent cameras, line judges on the verge of extinction, mistakes that persist nonetheless: technology fascinates as much as it divides. Tennis, at a crossroads, is still searching for its balance between progress and emotion.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
