UTS London: De Minaur, still imperial, secures a third crown and a royal check!
For the second year in a row, Alex de Minaur is the champion of the 'final' weekend of the UTS (Ultimate Tennis Showdown) held in London, at the Copper Box Arena.
Second in his group, Alex de Minaur secured his spot in the final earlier in the day by defeating Ugo Humbert (15-13, 18-13, 18-9). Facing Casper Ruud next, the Australian needed four quarters to seal his victory (11-15, 15-10, 15-11, 16-7).
A third title in the competition
A big fan of the format conceived by Patrick Mouratoglou, the world No. 7 had already won the event last year in London by beating Holger Rune in the final, as well as in 2020 in Antwerp against Richard Gasquet.
De Minaur will also take home a nice check, as the winner pockets just over 500,000 euros.
