Video - Alcaraz training with Mpetshi Perricard in Melbourne

Carlos Alcaraz has decided not to play a preparatory tournament for the Australian Open.

However, he is already in Melbourne to train and soak up tournament conditions.

He played this Monday with Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, semi-finalist in Brisbane and who withdrew from the Auckland tournament.

He, who will be seeded n°30 at the Australian Open, preferred to rest and prepare as best he could for the first Grand Slam of the year.

Last year, the Frenchman failed to reach the final round of qualifying against Hugo Grenier, and arrives this year with a very different status.
