Gaël Monfils begins his 22nd season on the professional circuit in Brisbane, with a first-round match against a qualifier.

He could then meet his bête noire Novak Djokovic in the 2nd round.

But while he's waiting for his tournament to begin, the Frenchman showed off his powerful forehand strokes in training (see video below).

Ranked 55th in the world before the start of 2025, Monfils, 38, is currently the oldest player in the Top 100.
