Video - "Roger, Sinner, and what about me?", when Machac joked with the Shanghai crowd
Jannik Sinner and Tomas Machac were facing off for a spot in the Shanghai final in 2024. The Czech player took to the court knowing, however, that he probably wouldn't have the crowd's support.
While Roger Federer was also present in the stands, one person from the crowd shouted: "I love you Roger," before another exclaimed: "I love you Sinner."
This certainly amused the crowd as well as the Italian. Machac then joked with the crowd: "And what about me?", which caused an outburst of laughter in the stands.
A good way for the Czech player to relieve pressure and win over the crowd's sympathy.
