Video - Rybakina's reaction after the announcement of her prize money in Riyadh
Elena Rybakina is set for the future after her triumph in the WTA Finals.
As the first Kazakhstani player to win the WTA Finals, the 26-year-old made a big impact. Eleven consecutive wins and a victory against the world number one (6-3, 7-6) to finish the year in the best possible way.
But that's not all, because with her title in Riyadh, Rybakina has just secured the largest prize in tennis history: $5.235 million. An exorbitant amount that she commented on during the press conference.
"It's really huge and honestly, I hadn't really thought about it, but of course, it's amazing and we absolutely have to celebrate this properly with the team and family."
