Video - Shanghai 2023: Rinderknech's Masterful Passing Shot Against Zverev
Alexander Zverev and Arthur Rinderknech treated the crowd at Shanghai's center court to several exceptional rallies.
In the third round of the Shanghai Masters 1000, Zverev and Rinderknech faced off for the second time on the tour, the second time this year after Wimbledon: victory for the Frenchman in five sets (7-6, 6-7, 6-3, 6-7, 6-4).
While the first set went in favor of the world number 3, the Frenchman didn't let himself be discouraged and won the next one. Proof of this is with this masterstroke executed at 5-3, 30-0 on his serve.
After getting tangled up, Rinderknech sent back an easy ball for the German, who quickly attacked and moved up to the net. The result? A sensational cross-court passing shot from the French player that died on the line and gave him three break points to level the set at one all.
