Video - Sinner and Alcaraz Return to Training
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are among the big names missing from the Toronto Masters 1000, which begins today with the qualifying rounds.
The two players, who faced off in the finals of Roland-Garros and Wimbledon, have taken some extra time off to arrive in Cincinnati and then the US Open in optimal condition. They resumed training at the end of this week.
Sinner was spotted on the hard courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club, where he resides. Alcaraz, after enjoying his vacation with family and friends, picked up his racket again at the Manga Club courts in the Murcia region (see videos below).
The world No. 1 and No. 2 will ramp up their intensity to prepare for the Cincinnati Masters 1000. Sinner is the defending champion, while Alcaraz was eliminated in the second round by Gaël Monfils last year.
