"It's fake news," Brad Gilbert denies Cahill's absence from Sinner's team at the US Open
Earlier this Friday, the Italian media La Repubblica reported that Darren Cahill would not be accompanying Jannik Sinner during the US Open.
This claim was quickly refuted by coach and former player Brad Gilbert on social media. In response to a post by the account Olly Tennis on X, he stated: "Just to be clear, this is fake news."
Sinner, the defending champion in New York, should indeed have Darren Cahill in his team alongside his second coach, Simone Vagnozzi.
