Video - The magnificent point between Monfils and Mpetshi Perricard

Gaël Monfils and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard faced off in the first round of the Australian Open.

Monfils won 7-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-7, 6-4, in a very close match. And as usual with Monfils, we were treated to some fine points.

One exchange in particular delighted the crowd in the tie-break of the fourth set, when Mpetshi Perricard made a reflex lob between the legs from the front.

Monfils countered with another shot between the defensive legs, but unfortunately for him, it wasn't enough to win the point.

Monfils will face Daniel Altmaier in the second round of the Australian Open.
