Arthur Fils and Ben Shelton delivered an intense battle during the quarterfinals of the Tokyo tournament in 2024.
In a tie-break filled with unbearable suspense, the two players put on a real show at 6-5 on the American’s serve. Attacking throughout the entire rally, Shelton had to work hard to secure the second set against a Frenchman who was more agile than ever.

Although Shelton managed to level the score in this all-Next Gen duel, the match ultimately did not swing in his favor. After exactly three hours, the outcome tipped toward the "Frenchie" and eventual tournament winner (7-5, 6-7, 7-6).
