Video - Unbelievable but true: Federer gives Nadal advice during the 2019 Laver Cup

During the 2019 Laver Cup, Roger Federer did what no one would have imagined: coaching Rafael Nadal in the middle of a match. This rare moment, captured by cameras, moved the fans.

It's an image no one would have imagined ten years ago: Roger Federer leaning towards Rafael Nadal, whispering tactical advice to him in the middle of a match. This scene took place during match 7 of the 2019 Laver Cup, in Geneva.

While Nadal had taken the advantage in the first set against Raonic, the Spaniard was then trailing 3-2 to the Canadian, who was about to serve. At that moment, Federer called out to him during the side change. In a sequence captured by the Laver Cup microphones, the Swiss told him:

"If you have the opportunity to come to the net. Challenge him and then come up. You're very good at volleying. You might also try to vary more: topspin, slice... you know, like the good old days (laughs)!"

Advice that paid off as the Majorcan won in two sets (6-3, 7-6) to bring two additional points to Team Europe.
