Video - When Monfils Tried to Disrupt Isner's Serve
Gaël Monfils and John Isner have faced each other 13 times on the ATP tour. Their latest encounter took place in the quarterfinals of the Canada Masters 1000.
Returning the American giant's serves has never been an easy task. The Frenchman therefore sought solutions, such as disrupting him during his serve.
To do this, Monfils, as shown in the video below, tried to move around as much as possible. A solution that was not to the liking of the chair umpire, Mohamed Lahyani, who let him know, to the laughter of the crowd.
Monfils then replied to him: "We've played each other 13 times, it's not the first time he's seen me do this. Ask him. Is this the first time you've seen me do this?"
Unfortunately for him, he ultimately lost 7-6, 6-4.
