Watching him play is incredible," Agassi eager to captain Fonseca at Laver Cup

For its eighth edition, the Laver Cup will take place in San Francisco from September 19 to 21. The competition will turn a page in its history, as Björn Borg and John McEnroe will pass their captain roles to Yannick Noah and Andre Agassi.
With three months to go before the event, Agassi shared his thoughts on Joao Fonseca, who will be part of Team World:
"He caught my attention a few months ago. Watching him play is incredible. He hits the ball with such ease on both sides. He’s very athletic and shows great mobility on the court. He’s a big guy, almost as tall as Sinner. I couldn’t believe it when I met him.
I still struggle to understand how he generates so much power without losing his balance. It’s something we saw in Alcaraz’s early years. I’m excited to see him progress. I hope he’ll be able to handle the pressure on his shoulders and the expectations surrounding him.
I know he’s very professional, and he seems to have a lot of maturity for his age.
