Alcaraz won his 5th Grand Slam at the same age as Nadal (22 years, 1 month, and 3 days). A nice nod to the native of El Palmar, who has always expressed his admiration for the man with 14 Coupes des Mousquetaires.
After this legendary final lasting 5 hours and 29 minutes—the longest in Roland-Garros history—and concluded by Alcaraz in a super tie-break (10-2), many were waiting for the reaction of the tournament’s legend. On his X account, the Mallorcan didn’t keep fans waiting, congratulating both men for their incredible battle:

While this final became the 2nd longest in Grand Slam history, Nadal and Djokovic still hold the record for their clash at the Australian Open in 2012 (5 hours and 53 minutes).
