When the Williams sisters replay the match: Capriati, Henin, Davenport... and some cold sweats!
In their podcast Stockton Street, Serena and Venus Williams look back on their respective careers (even though Venus is still active) and analyze the latest tennis news.
This week, the two sisters focused on the players who gave them the most trouble during their careers, those against whom every victory was a real challenge.
"After Venus? I'd say Capriati"
Serena Williams: "My toughest opponent after Venus? I'd say Capriati, she was really difficult to play. But that was specific to that period. Then, I would also mention Henin."
Venus Williams: "For me, Davenport and Pierce were among the hardest to face. I didn't have any particular problem against Capriati or Henin: they were simpler equations to solve.
There's also Jankovic, Kerber... Those matches were complicated because I wasn't comfortable on the court. They played very long rallies and it was difficult for me."
