Just like in his first-round match against Alexander Zverev, Arthur Rinderknech will have to play another match spread over two days.
The Frenchman, barely recovered from the emotions of the previous day, had to return to action this Wednesday to face Cristian Garin on Court 17. Against the world No. 110 and lucky loser, he lost the first set 6-3 before claiming the next two with scores of 6-3 and 7-6.
It was at this point that the tournament organizers decided to suspend the match, which will resume tomorrow with Rinderknech leading two sets to one.
Other matches were also interrupted due to fading light: Van de Zandschulp-Davidovich Fokina (1-6, 6-4, 3-6, 5-5), Fery-Darderi (4-6, 3-6), and Auger-Aliassime-Struff (6-3, 6-7).
