Woodbridge on Djokovic's Future: "The Next Five or Six Weeks Will Be Decisive for Him"

Eliminated early in Monte-Carlo and Madrid and having withdrawn from Rome, Novak Djokovic is not having an ideal clay-court season. With no clear goal for Roland-Garros, he will likely bet everything on Wimbledon, where he has already triumphed seven times.
In the latest episode of *The Tennis* podcast, former player Todd Woodbridge shared his thoughts on Djokovic's prospects for the rest of the 2025 season:
"He’s losing to opponents he never used to lose to. They step onto the court thinking, ‘Maybe this is my chance now.’ His invincibility has weakened. He needs to make a decision, and it seems he’s already made one by withdrawing from Rome.
He’ll continue as he has in the past: ‘I’ll rely on my reputation and aura at Roland-Garros and see what I can do.’ But physically, it’s clear things are getting harder. He’s not bouncing back the way he used to.
The next five or six weeks will be decisive for him. If he performs well in Paris, he’ll stay in the mix. Then there’s Wimbledon, where he’ll obviously be one of the favorites. But for the rest of the season and his future, we’ll see what he decides."
