While the main WTA tour season ended in mid-November, some players continue their efforts until December, at the WTA 125 in Angers.

Nicolas Mahut, the tournament director, will welcome several well-known players from the tour, in addition to seeing Alycia Parks, the defending champion, return to the Loire region.

The full draw revealed

It was on Saturday evening that the draw for the main draw took place. While Elsa Jacquemot and Barbora Krejcikova were expected, they ultimately withdrew.

So Parks finds herself as the No. 1 seed, with a first round against No. 192 Gabriela Knutson, before a potential quarterfinal against Elena-Gabriela Ruse.

In the bottom half of the draw, it's Antonia Ruzic, world No. 78, who is the No. 2 seed. She will face Aliona Bolsova in her opening match.

The French players will naturally be there to ignite the crowd: Océane Dodin will face Alice Ramé, Fiona Ferro will take on Kamilla Rakhimova, Jessika Ponchet will challenge Mona Barthel, Sarah Tiantsoa Rakotomanga will meet Linda Klimovicova, while Chloé Paquet will face Lucia Bronzetti.

Since February 2022 and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Ukrainian sport has been heavily affected by human, structural and economic losses. Tennis has, of course, not been spared. While Ukrainian athletes have had to rethink their entire organization, an entire country, behind the scenes, has had to adapt and change its training conditions. This extends all the way to the highest level, where professional players have spoken out, trying as best they can to help their nation.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?
