You need to focus on your service games and take the few opportunities that come your way," says Fonseca, still learning on grass

For the first time in his career, Joao Fonseca will compete in the main draw of Wimbledon. The 18-year-old Brazilian will have his work cut out for him in his debut as he faces Britain's Jacob Fearnley, a player who has been on the rise since the start of the season.
He explained to reporters his adaptation to grass, a surface on which he earned his first victory this week in Eastbourne:
"I’m gaining more and more experience on grass each time. It’s completely different compared to other surfaces. I’m playing well and have had good matches.
You need to focus on your service games and take the few opportunities that come your way. The matches I’ve lost were decided by small details, but I feel good.
I have high expectations. There isn’t much time to prepare on grass. Mentally, I feel good, and I’m in great shape during training. I just want to enjoy it. I want to have fun playing and give my best.
