Qinwen Zheng is not far from fulfilling her dream.
After a prodigious tournament in which she eliminated the queen of the circuit, Iga Swiatek, the Chinese player is no longer very far from bringing Olympic gold back to her country.
Opposed to a feisty but blunt Donna Vekic, the world number 7 has so far managed her game perfectly, saving every break point she has had to defend (3) and winning every one she has won (2).
She is now just one set away from consecration on the clay of Court Philippe Chatrier.
