Zheng stops Raducanu and reaches first grass-court semifinal at Queen's
Qinwen Zheng, the top seed at the WTA 500 Queen's Club Championships, has reached her first-ever grass-court semifinal.
The Chinese player, who had only won four career matches on grass (including her second-round victory yesterday), managed to defeat Emma Raducanu in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. After trailing 4-2 in the second set, she won four consecutive games to avoid extending the match.
Zheng will face the winner of the last quarterfinal between Amanda Anisimova and Emma Navarro in tomorrow's semifinal. The match began on the Andy Murray Arena but could be interrupted due to nightfall.
