Le 3 juin 2022, l'Allemand s'était déchiré plusieurs ligaments de la cheville droite alors qu'il malmenait Nadal dans un duel titanesque en demies de Roland Garros. Ce mardi à Monte-Carlo, il a remporté son 1er match sur terre battue depuis sa blessure.
