Zverev Dominates Sonego and Advances to Beijing Quarterfinals to Face Moutet

Alexander Zverev did not falter. Facing Lorenzo Sonego, whom he knows all too well, the German prevailed flawlessly for the sixth time in as many encounters. A controlled scoreline (6-4, 6-3) secured his place in the round of 16 at the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing.
As the tournament's second seed, he will now face France's Corentin Moutet. Creative, unpredictable, and often incandescent, the Frenchman embodies everything that makes tennis most bewildering for his opponents—and for the audience as well.
After defeating Griekspoor in his opening match, the left-handed Parisian, currently ranked 37th in the ATP, will once again give his all to try and unsettle Zverev, who is widely considered the favorite on paper.
It is worth noting that the two players have faced each other only once on the tour: earlier this year in Stuttgart (a victory for the German, 6-2, 7-6).
