Zverev first player confirmed for the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg in 2026
Despite his world number 3 ranking, Alexander Zverev had a more than average year in 2025 and hopes to do better next year. The German is still seeking his first Grand Slam title and came close to finally lifting the trophy at the Australian Open.
However, he lost in the final to Jannik Sinner at the start of the year. While waiting to see what the 28-year-old player will do next year, the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg has already confirmed his participation for the 2026 edition.
Zverev aims for a second crown in his hometown
The German, who won this home tournament in 2023 against Laslo Djere, will make his fourth consecutive appearance at the Bitpanda Open. He will attempt to lift the winner's trophy for the second time and is delighted to return to compete in this event, which means a lot to him.
"I am very happy to be back at the Hamburg tournament in 2026. Being present at home is always special for me, and I can already feel the incredible energy of the Hamburg crowd at Rothenbaum," Zverev assured on the event's website. The next edition of the Hamburg tournament will take place from May 16 to 23 in northern Germany.
