Zverev: "I think the ATP considers its tournaments more important than the health of the players"

Alexander Zverev won his opening match in Miami against Jacob Fearnley with a score of 6-2, 6-4.
During the press conference, the German spoke about the PTPA (Professional Tennis Players Association) lawsuit against tennis governing bodies.
He stated: "I think over the last 15 to 20 years, the ATP has become a commercial entity that perhaps considers its tournaments more important than the health of the players.
I'm not sure that's right. The health of the players should always come first. The longevity of a career should always be a priority.
There are things we can still improve, things we can work on. That's why I'm part of the players' council.
There are issues we've talked about. The schedule is one of them. Long tournaments are another.
I truly believe that with the ATP and the people at the top, we can move forward. We've been talking about this for a very, very long time. It's a slow process, no doubt.
I think some things can still happen a bit faster. But I remain convinced that we need to work on these issues with the ATP."
