Zverev in Alcaraz's Section, Nishikori Returns: The Cincinnati Masters 1000 Draw Revealed

The Toronto Masters 1000 is not yet over, but the tennis world is already looking ahead to the Cincinnati tournament, which begins this Thursday with a first round excluding the seeded players.

Gaël Monfils will make his debut against Nishesh Basavareddy, Nuno Borges will face Arthur Rinderknech, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard will play a qualifier, Hugo Gaston will take on Roberto Carballes Baena, and Corentin Moutet will meet Mackenzie McDonald.

Notably, Kei Nishikori makes his return after being absent from the courts since the Geneva tournament last May. He will face Camilo Ugo Carabelli.

Among the top players, Jannik Sinner could face Tommy Paul in the round of 16, Lorenzo Musetti in the quarterfinals, and Taylor Fritz in the semifinals, before a potential showdown with his great rival Carlos Alcaraz in the final.

As for the Spaniard, he would meet Jakub Mensik in the round of 16, Alex de Minaur in the quarterfinals, and then Alexander Zverev in the semifinals.

As for Zverev, he could face Gaël Monfils in the second round, followed by back-to-back matches against Brandon Nakashima, Karen Khachanov, and Ben Shelton.
